Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell, an American TV chef and an former Institute of Culinary Education instructor She is also a television personality. She's the host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network host sporting spiky blonde locks and a lively persona, shows how to cook restaurant-style dishes at home using simple methods. Chef Burrell was a student and worked in some of the most prestigious New York restaurants. He was also a part of Iron Chef America and the food scene of Italy. As a child in Upstate New York Chef Burrell was attracted by the food. The Culinary Institute of America has sparked her interest in restaurant management after she earned an English/Communications degree at Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was a wonderful learning experience for me. The Culinary Institute of the Americas was a fantastic location to learn. After graduating, chef Burrell lived in Italy for a year, attending classes at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. She also worked in La Taverna del Lupo and La Bottega del 30 (a Michelin highly rated restaurant) located in Tuscany. In Italy Burrell developed a deep appreciation and understanding of Italian food and culture. This will have a significant impact on the way she approaches her cuisine. Burrell is a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which helps brighten children living with challenges. She is also a Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Celebrity Ambassador, where she is an advocate for juvenile diabetes awareness. As an inspirational speaker, she makes trips across the country to share her passion for food as well as her career in the culinary field. Anne has stated during her career in the kitchen she is incredibly fortunate to have the opportunity to share with others what is truly important for her.
