Natalie Dormer
(born 11 February 1982) is an English actress from England. Her awards include
an Empire Award, and receiving nominations for the Critics' Choice Award and
two Gemini Awards and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. Dormer was born in
Reading (Berkshire) and made her television debut in the role of Anne Boleyn in
the Showtime series The Tudors. This role received a lot of praise. In Sweet
Nothings (2010), she made her stage debut. She was also the Duchess Of York in
Madonna's W.E. (2011), Private Lorraine in Captain America The First Avenger
(2011). After Miss Julie (2012) in the Young Vic, was highly praised. Dormer
was a target of international attention and accolades for her performance as
Margaery Tyrell in the HBO series Game of Thrones (2012-2016) and Cressida in
the last two parts of The Hunger Games franchise (2014-2015) and are among the
highest-grossing of her films. She also played the role of Irene adler/Moriarty
in CBS's Elementary (2013-15), Sara Price Jess Price (2016, 2017) and Onica in
The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance (2019). Her character in Penny Dreadful:
City of Angels, a miniseries about Penny Dreadful, was highly appreciated.
Dormer was born in Reading (Berkshire), England on 11 February 1982. She is the
daughter of Gary Dormer, Claire Richards, and Samantha Dormer.
