Paula Faris
Paula Faris, an American journalist,
previously worked as the TV reporter at ABC News. She is most famous for her
time as cohost of Good Morning America Weekend, from 2014 to 2018, and host of
The View, 2015-2018. The show was co-hosted by her prior co-anchors America
This Morning and World News Now. After graduating, she worked in several
communications-related jobs including an operations position at Mills/James
Productions in Columbus, Ohio. Because of the lack of opportunities in
television, she held a job as a radio sales representative. She was hired as a
WKEF/WRGT production assistant, and later was promoted to reporter and anchor.
From 2002 to 2005 she was the sports anchor for weekends and weekday sports
anchor at WCPO-TV in Cincinnati. She became a sports reporter for the NBC's
Chicago affiliate WMAQ-TV from November 2005 through December 2011, when her
contract was terminated. In December 2011, she was recruited by ABC News the
news division of ABC. The first time she appeared on the network for its World
News Now and America This Morning on January 2nd, 2012. In this period, she
performed as a fill-in host on Good Morning America as well as a correspondent.
Later, she was appointed a New York-based reporter for all ABC News programs.
She was the host of America This Morning and World News Now's final show on
January 22 2013. On September 9, 2014, she made her debut as co-anchor on Good
Morning America Weekend, following the departure of Bianna Golodryga. She moved
to Yahoo! News. News. It was announced on August 3 in 2016 that she had been
renewed for for the 20th season. She was also renewed as a co-host for Season
21. During the series' 21st and 22nd seasons she was mostly on the program's
Friday episodes.
