Renee Kathleen Zellweger
Renee Kathleen Zellweger is a daughter
of Kjellfrid Andreassen an ex-midwife as well as a nurse from Norway. She was
born on April 25, 1969 in Katy. Emil Erich Zellweger is her father. He is a
Swiss engineer. The two are married in 1963. Drew Zellweger was Renee's older
brother. He is a marketing executive and was born on 15 February 1967. Renee
was a member of the drama group at high school when she became fascinated by
acting. She attended an acting class at the University of Texas (Austin) and
started to think about acting as a career. She was determined to pursue acting
upon graduation. But, Hollywood can be difficult to enter, which is why Renee
decided that she would stay in Texas and apply for roles around Houston. She
got roles in films like Reality Bites (1994), and Empire Records (1995). While
filming the sequel to that film, Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation
(1994) She made friends with Matthew McConaughey, another Hollywood
up-and-comer. McConaughey was working on a project at the time which Renee was
interested in, auditioned for, and won the role in the film Love and a .45
(1994) that earned her enough critical praise that she decided to move to Los
Angeles. Her breakthrough came in another film role in The Whole Wide World
(1996). Cameron Crowe was busy casting his next film Jerry Maguire
(1996),starring Tom Cruise. Crowe was watching actresses such as Bridget Fonda
and Marisa Tomei when they appeared on Zellweger's The Whole Wide World (1996).
The audition was for Zellweger and was sure he'd discovered his Dorothy Boyd.
Renee then followed her enormous success with a few small independent films.
After receiving more praise from critics She was confident enough to reenter
the world of big-budget Hollywood films. Meryl Streep was a co-star in One True
Thing (1998). Also, she acted in Me, Myself & Irene (2000) in which she
starred alongside Jim Carrey, and soon after she began dating Carrey. Bridget
Jones's Diary (2001).
