Angeles in 1970. After the birth of her daughter, her parents moved to Dallas,
Texas. She graduated from Booker T. Washington High School, Performing and
Visual Arts situated in the Arts District. She received her BFA in acting from
Stephens College, and also studied at British American Drama Academy. She also
worked for six years with the Dallas Theatre Center, and one year with the
Encore Company. Before her big screen debut, she began her acting career from
theaters. Her stage credits in theater include productions like "As You
Like It", "A Funny Thing was Happening on the Way to the Forum",
"Measure for Measure", "Baby" and "Chicago" in addition
to many others. Her first big break came when she starred alongside Angelina
Jolie in Michael Cristofer's highly acclaimed HBO telefilm Gia (1998) endearing
her to audiences and critics, alike. Elizabeth showcased her charismatic
performance abilities after the success of Frequency (2001 with Dennis Quaid)
and Neil LaBute's scifi time travel drama Nurse Betty ((2000) with Rene
Zellweger). With a variety of credits in television series, theaters and
movies, Elizabeth Mitchell continues to perform at her very best in the field
of acting. In the course of filming Frequency ((2000)) the actress injured her

major in Visual and Performing Arts situated in the Arts District of Dallas.
She graduated from Stephens College in 1991 with the Fine Arts Degree. Starred
in Man and Boy (2002) together with Ioan Gruffudd. It ran on BBC 1 TV in March
2002.
