American actor
Danielle Riley Keough. [2] Born in Santa Monica, California, to singers Lisa
Marie Presley and Danny Keough and Danny Keough, she is the grandchild of the
actress Priscilla Presley and singer Elvis Presley. Keough was raised by her
father in Hawaii, Los Angeles and was able to spend time with her mother in
California. At the age 15 Keough began modelling. She was featured in Dolce
&Gabbana's fashion shows, Christian Dior's, and on the cover of Vogue.
Keough made her debut on film at the age of 20, appearing in a supporting part
in the musical biopic The Runaways (2010), as Marie Currie. After The Good
Doctor (2011) Keough appeared in Jack & Diane (2012). Her next film was
as a minor character in Steven Soderbergh's comedy Magic Mike (2012). In 2012,
Keough appeared in Yellow and Kiss of the Damned. In the following year, she
was in the action film Mad Max: Fury Road (2015). This was the fourth movie in
the Mad Max series. In 2016, Keough had her breakthrough role as a law
student-turned-escort in the first season of the anthology series The
Girlfriend Experience, executive-produced by Soderbergh and based on his 2009
film of the same name. The film received a lot of praise for her performance
and received nominations for the Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an
Actress in a Television Limited Series or Motion Picture. Keough's subsequent
performance as a wayward young woman in the drama American Honey (2017) earned
more praise, including an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best
Supporting Female. The following year, Keough appeared in the apocalyptic
slasher film It Comes at Night (2017) and then reunited with Soderbergh to be a
part of the heist film Logan Lucky. This was followed by roles in a range of
thriller and horror films in 2018, such as Lars von Trier's The House That Jack
Built and the neonoir Under the Silver Lake. Keough was the leading character
in the psycho-horror film The Lodge. She was later cast in Zola (2020) which is
an comedy-drama. Keough plays Sandy Harrison in Netflix’s 2020 release of The
Devil All the Time.
