Shawn Killinger Biography & Personal Life

Shawn Killinger, an American anchor on television, reporter, and newscaster, is working as a national programme host for QVC. QVC is an online retailer and a TV-shopping company. She has presented numerous items on QVC since 2007 and has also begun her own blog. In 1997, after completing her studies at college, Shawn Killinger moved to New York City and was one of the few applicants selected to join the prestigious CBS Page Program. For the next two years, she worked as an assistant to the set, writing scripts for Dan Rather for the 'CBS Evening News', and later helped seating audience members at the 'Late Show with David Letterman'. She is married to consultant Joe Carettta, whom she discovered on a dating site. She shares her personal life and experiences often with her followers. This includes the struggle to conceive. But, she was unable to disclose the reason behind her absence from her show for a long period of time in 2014, aside from being a successful reporter and television host, Killinger is also known for being a philanthropist - since 2008 she has been active in the Make-A-Wish Foundation, serving as its "Wish Granter" for children suffering from life-threatening illnesses.
