Biography of Sheryl Crow

Sheryl Suzanne Crow was born in Kennett (Missouri) on February 11, 1962, to Wendell Crow and Bernice Crow. Two of her older sisters, Kathy, and Karen are her parents. Steve is her younger brother. Crow began playing the piano when she was just six years old. She graduated from Kennett High School, 1980 after which she continued to study music education at the University of Missouri at Columbia in 1984. She performed on weekends with Cashmere the local band in college. In 1996, Crow released Sheryl Crow. The album won Grammy Awards for Best Rock Album (Best Female Rock Vocal Performance) as well as Best Rock Album (Best Rock Album). Crow was busy in 1997 and 1998 touring, appearing at select dates of the Rolling Stones Bridges to Babylon Tour and during the 1998 Lilith Fair concerts. In 1998, she released The Globe Sessions. The album won the Grammy Award for the Best Rock Album. Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter known for her talent in music and pop hits such as "All I Want To Do" (1993) and "If It makes You happier" (1996) and"Strong Enough" (1996). Crow is the daughter of a piano player and a trumpeter. She earned a University of Missouri at Columbia degree in piano and voice.
